Long time no update! It's been an absolutely nuts over here with the holidays and the launch of our Ghost Subwoofers, and I haven't had the time to slow down and provide you guys some new content. We have been throughly enjoying our new M3, and it just completed it's tour over to the east coast and is currently back in San Diego, CA with 14,000 miles. Not a bad tally for 3 months of ownership, we've certainly been getting our use out of it!
We've done a few other things to the car which we will cover soon, with even more in the pipeline. The first modification on our list was of course our Stage One speaker upgrade, and that's what we will be showing you today, with healthy amounts of Messing Metallic and juicy Nutmeg leather throughout. We cover our installs for nearly every BMW in detail on our site under the Help-Install info section so we won't highlight too much here and mostly will provide some gorgeous photos for you to look at. One thing we did want to highlight was Jason sound deadening the door around the midrange. We get a few inquiries about technique here, and there really isn't much to it. It doesn't have to precise, nor full coverage, similar to a carpet severely reducing the reverberation in a room, just a bit goes a long way. First things first, you'll want to get the door panel off of the car and compare the dinky factory Midrange with our beautiful unit: We then cut out a piece of sound deadening material in the approximate size: Get it nice and tacky with a heat gun, or a hair dryer: Apply it to the door, we are after rough coverage here, it doesn't have to be exact: Cut out a hole for the midrange, and poke holes for the screws: Reinstall the midrange and add a little sound deadening to preference: Slap the door panel back on and enjoy the FAR better audio in the car. Beautiful natural highs from our silk dome tweeters, and punchy natural mids from our fiberglass midranges. And here are those bonus photos to enjoy: We have quite a few more parts on the car now than we have detailed here, and will be showing you those in updates of much more frequency. Enjoy |

So where is this car now? Do you guys still have it? How many miles? Any issues? Inquiring minds want to know?
