M3 CS Prices

Hey guys

I am shopping for a new CS and been getting mixed pricing quotes.

Some dealers discounting some not.

What would you guys think is a good deal on one of these ?

Seems a lot of CS on dealer lots now and I noticed BMW is pushing both M3CS and M4CS on their Instagram handles this week. Makes me wonder if BMW corporate will offer incentives on the CS to move them out faster.

There are a ton of them on dealer lots by me as well. Would be curious as to discounts being offered.

Ppl aren’t spending 100k for the CS at the EOP. Makes no sense to drop that much when in a year or two a new model and M3/4 comes out.. with the 100k plus That’s P territory..

I got some really good pricing from fellow forum members who were dealers but just could not justify the cost for my needs. I drove one and was sooooo tempted but just couldn't do it. Check the classifieds and talk with @OpenRoadBMW and @GOLFFRR. They can give you a good baseline for what you should be paying.

I have no intent to buy one so i don't want to waste their time but how much of a discount are we talking here? Under $90k?

The biggest advertised discount I've seen thus far in my area is $6.5k which brought the price down to ~$97.5k (San Marino Blue with steel brakes).

I don't think they are going to sell good until 10-15k off sticker. Lease rates are horrendous.

I love my loaded 85K ‘18 zcp, love it even more that I was able to negotiate 10% off of the purchase. The cp at 100K is going nowhere if they don’t break that double digit discount percentage, the zcp compared to the cp is just not that much better when driven back to back. I’ve driven both. (But I do speculate as a track car, over a season, it might be with the advantage). But in any event at the $ century mark I’d take the base P car without hesitation given a two door scenerio which can do both well, street & track.

Just my personal thoughts but I’m sure I’m not alone in my thinking based on what I’ve read here on the site and speaking to the masses at car gatherings such as my local cars & coffee.

With all the above being said, a stripper ‘18 F80(finally fully realized)if you could have found it would be the deal of the century, assuming a deep discount as well, if you were able to put the order in before they shut down production. From what I’ve seen with the new production G series M cars, I pretty unimpressed with the body style. . Sorry for my digression!

Potential buyers should wait out Bmw and get the discounts coming.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by yesterday's reveal of the G20, but I'm sure the G80 will make up for it. Just like looking at an F30 today compared to an F80. But I would totally jump on a CS if it could be leased and was deeply discounted...and this would be my 4th F8x.

EDIT: I just saw the residual thread and see you can now lease CS—but at sh!t rates compared to the standard model! When did this change??

Probably changed when BMW saw people were not falling over themselves to buy a 100k m3/m4. My dealer has one of each and they don't do anything for me at that price. Very happy with my 85k m3 comp.

They grew bigger but did shed a few pounds, go figure.
Looks like the M2 has now become BMW’s track focused and twisty canyon roads runner. Can’t wait to see the CS version!

I cannot comment on the M3CP vs M3cs, but I have driven an M4CP back to back with the M4cs, and found the driving experience to be significantly different.

Now, that being said, I agree that the CS is quite overpriced relative to the CP in the US. For my part, I got close to 10% of discounts on my M4cs that already starts at much more reasonable MSRP in Canada and paid ~$85k USD for it (before taxes). Definitely worth it to me .

That sounds like the right insensitives, a Canadian dollar currency valuation and a Canadian standard equipped base model that’s offered for the CS model. I think around $85k is where they should be selling as fair market value based on an MSRP of $95K(which is where I think it should of landed), not $100K.

As to CS vs CP, again I’ll say it’s likley more appreciated by a track enthusiast vs a daily driver, which the former really takes advantage of the weight savings and better tires. Just my thought on the topic based on the perspective of a daily driver with no intention to track.
