Hi all, I had this come on last week and it disappeared. But yesterday it came on 3 times and had come on once today. It goes off once I restart the car....any ideas? Thanks

Yea the oil was good, the garage told me that the diff looks fine as well, no leaks, or sweating around the diff :

Maybe try reading the codes with ISTA just incase BM3 isn't showing all the info.
It's possible that a wheel speed sensor is causing the error but BM3 is reporting it as oil temp (unlikely but stranger things have happened). Failing that try getting the software updated, as that is the next cheapest option. After that, I think your looking at replacing the GHAS module (as others in the past with the Diff lock warning, have had these replaced by BMW when under warranty, hence my suggestion of the software update, as it's likely the module wasn't really the problem but the software on it could have been). |
