Yea the oil was good, the garage told me that the diff looks fine as well, no leaks, or sweating around the diff :

Well the next step would be to look at the GHAS module.

What year is your car and what i-step version is on the car ?

Maybe try reading the codes with ISTA just incase BM3 isn't showing all the info.

It's possible that a wheel speed sensor is causing the error but BM3 is reporting it as oil temp (unlikely but stranger things have happened).

Failing that try getting the software updated, as that is the next cheapest option.

After that, I think your looking at replacing the GHAS module (as others in the past with the Diff lock warning, have had these replaced by BMW when under warranty, hence my suggestion of the software update, as it's likely the module wasn't really the problem but the software on it could have been).

Thanks man all your help....a few things to look at....I have warranty on it through a third party, they approved my wheel speed sensor abt 18ms ago when one of the front ones went....however I think I might have to remove my spacers and reflash the stock tune inc the dct
