When waiting at an intersection, my car hesitates with start/stop

Hi!

I just got a used F80. My car feels slow when accelerating from a stop. I have start/stop turned on. I'm trying to slowly move up to stop and hit the gas at the same time. Either it's about to shut off or not enough speed. The car just stays there. This happened twice already.
