New Single Turbo Kit for the S55 (4N Motorsport)

Been following these guys development for the kit on Instagram and looks like it's production ready and they're making great power. I haven't seen people talking about this on here so just thought I'd share. Maybe this will solve a lot of people's issues with the way these cars sound lol. This could open up a lot of cool new projects for this platform too.

And for the more...modest builds , equal length exhausts will fix that problem. S55 sounding bad will be a thing of the past very soon.

From my guesstimation, it looks like it would sit where the passenger side airbox is. Plenty of room if you ditch the airbox, although it would be interesting to see if it could be made to fit with an enclosure for temps.

It’s funny that everyone talks about hot air intakes and how intakes inside the engine bay will result in higher IATs but this company made a kit that does just that. Would it be better to route the intake to behind the kidney grill?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that the shortest intake path for a big single turbo is the most efficient setup.

Correct. The tradeoff is between response and temps. But I bet a plastic enclosure can be made in the stock airbox location to insulate the air a little bit so the incoming air isn't mixing with hot engine air. That filter is REALLY close to the engine/turbo.

I totally agree. Maybe one of the pipes from an existing front mount intake kit could be an alternative?

What would be the benefactor in going a single setup compared to a pure or kratos? Is it like the 2JZ where the single made sense for big HP?

Trying to figure out where is this company located? Also interested in finding out what proven track record this company has.

This seems promising as I was looking at purchasing KRATOS kit.

I believe so from my understanding. Plus single turbo setups sound insane on this car. If you haven't already heard it, go check out the RkTunes M3 it sounds beautiful!

This. They sound amazing.

But I'm sure you're going to lose some drivability.

As for power, those Kratos Turbos are going to be hard to beat @ 1163rwhp

Other than sound, what are the advantages of this single turbo setup versus something like the Pure or Kratos twins? Spool? Top end potential?

Less manifold back pressure and the option to run a reliable ball bearing water cooled turbo. I currently have a customers car with a fully built motor and we are installing a g-42-1450 turbo. This will be a 1500hp capable setup. Something that upgraded stock frame twins cannot reach.

Looking forward to seeing these things in production! should be a bad ass setup once everything is dialed in, and one that doesn't cost $20k!

Just my quick observations:

* Looks like you guys are running into the typical tuning learning curve with full E85 on the S55. An experienced S55 tuner could've advised you guys on the factory LPFP limitations from the start.

* Would be nice to have 1-2 less couplers on the chargepipes to minimize potential boost leak failure points. If not, beaded pipe ends are a must.

* Watch out for competing vendors on this forum, as price discussion is not allowed outside of the sponsor classifieds section. Wouldn't be surprised if your posts have not been flagged already, would love to have you guys around to keep track of development progress.
