Skid plate for M3 CS

Hi does anyone know if they make a specific skid plate for the CS? I tried the Turner one but had to return it as it don’t line up. There needs to be a cut out for the lip spoiler and 2 notches news the 18mm bolts.

Was hoping someone found a specific CS one or one that can be modified to work

Mounting points are all same.

Most likely you're installing wrong. You have to transfer the clip nuts over to your new skid plate. Then slip the front into your front bumper and then put the 2 big screws in first but leave them loose. And then put all the 8mm hex screws in.

I advise that you leave all screws loose but catch few threads and then once everything is in place then you start tightening.

I believe the CS lip brackets make it necessary to modify the skid plate. I haven't seen anyone make a CS specific skid plate that does not require notching the plate.

Definitely would have to modify it, the front can be easily trimmed to accommodate the CS’s front lip mounting bracket but for the sides the turner one would have to be cut right where there is a weld that would make it not work by where the 2 18mm bolts are so I was wondering if anyone had any luck modifying one and which one did they use the fallline one looks like it might be more mod-able but wanted to hear if anyone here had experience w it

Thanks

I thought the brackets are on the side and away from the mounting points for the skid plate?

There is a center bracket that holds the spoiler and 2 others that also seem to interfere where the 2 18mm bolts are

The skid plate is held by 2 13mm and bunch of 8mm right? Do you have picture from your CS?

You could get a dremel and add some cutouts for the center brace. Turner skid plate is aluminum and its more rigid, you shouldn't have any issues

But I've seen folks with base and comp put the OEM CS lip on with all the brackets and still run Turner skid plate with no modifications.

Interesting I should have taken pics but from what the shop and I saw I just couldn’t see how to cut out two outside areas with out compromising the welds on the turner.

Hopefully someone who installed a CS lip w all the brackets will chime in

Just told the shop to order a fall line skid plate and I think we will have to cut in 3 spots so will come back and update this thread if it works

I have the turner plates on both of my m4s (f82&83) but not cs. There were no mods needed but the plate bolt points needed to flex a little on one of the installs.

Thanks for that. I'd be curious on what you find. I have the CS brackets on a ZCP. I figured either plate would need to be modified but didn't think the turner was a no-go.

Interestingly enough, I did some searching around and there are folks that got either plate to work with the CS brackets. But both plates require notching around the brackets (as expected).

If you want to sell the turner plate, let me know.

I returned the turner plate. W the turner plate where the side notches had to be made were very close to the welds so we thought it might comprise the structure long term. Hoping the fall line plate doesn’t have the weld placement issue
