Thoughts on purchasing an F80 you know had been wrapped numerous times
Hey all,
I'm looking at an f80 at an out of state dealership, and through my due diligence, I discovered that the previous owner had wrapped the cars multiple times. The car is now back to it's factory color, and it looks awesome from the high res pictures they sent me. I'm a little dubious however that a car that has been wrapped multiple times wouldn't have incurred some damage. Not too mention, full cars wraps aren't cheap, so unless the guy spent 20k+ wrapping the car, chances are it was diy or he knew somebody that could do it cheap. I'm not all that familiar with wraps, but do know they can cause damage if not done properly. If the car does in fact look as minty as it does in the pictures, I'm thinking that's it likely the car has repaired/resprayed to some extent. Thoughts?

Some people like to change the color of their car every few months. I know some guys that do it a lot, and the wrap is usually easily reversible. Have the car looked at by a body shop if you are concerned about any previous paint work.

If you can see the paint then you can assess the condition. Having just wrapped my car I made sure to take pictures of the car immediately beforehand but you're good to go if it looks right.
