Drove the F80 to The Homestead

I went on a long weekend getaway with the missus to The Homestead for her friend's wedding.

I have to be honest that i do feel out of sorts in that posh, "southern antebellum", high society resort-wear environment. They served 3pm tea in the "great hall". Polos/Chinos/sweater tied around neck was the norm.

That said, it is in a pretty part of Virginia. Some fun twisty roads to get there. Nice vistas and elevation change. Alittle fun to be had in the F80.

But wifey does NOT like how I drive in the F80. "Why are you accelerating out of a turn?" *YIKES*

Some great vistas. Roads running in short narrow valleys. Farms abound.

We crest a ridge and drop into Warm Springs, then around the bend pops up the town of Hot Springs, and The Homestead.

It's pretty impressive. I guess it dates back to 1766. The rejuvenative natural hot/mineral springs is what drew folks here and thusly the resort.

After getting settled, the Wifey jetted off to the Spa with her friends. I decided to explore the area roads in my F80. Temps in the low 80s, sunny, smooth road surface. Engine was happy and putting great power down.

I swear I was driving the speed limit

I rented a golf cart, and some golf clubs, hacked around their driving range. Drove like a hooligan, and got yelled at.

Virginia is so stinking pretty. What did you do that resulted in getting yelled at on the GC?
