Just contacted a dealer in NJ. They want a $5000 deposit and are getting $5000 over MSRP!

Actually Ask for David Aviles, he is the director of our internet dept now

to all do not be surprised when you see most dealers marking these bad boys up well north of MSRP. The car is going to be hot and the dealers are going to want a premium for them. We will not be marking them up but we most likely will be selling them at MSRP at the beginning.

If BMW decides to limit the allocations to each dealer to say 1 or 2 a month then LOOK OUT!!! they will be very very pricey.

Don't hold it, have it speak to you through Bluetooth and just glance down at it in your cupholder when you need visual assistance.

I travel a lot for work and this is what I do every time.

Google Navigation is superior to any and all in-car nav systems. Spending $2k for Nav in a car not only immediately dates the car, it is something to be very likely unused: how often do you drive to places you are not already familiar with when in your home town? I used my car's navigation system maybe once in the 3 years I owned it. Waste of money.
100% agree. I never once used it. I occasionally switch it on just to remember the fact that I have it. Waste of $, however, without it the car looks like a rental. I'm most likely going to buy it once again just to find myself using the far superior guidance offered on my iPhone.

No offense but that is just hype. I don't think you will have allocations like they first did when the 2008 M3 came out but 6 months to a year (depending on pricing of the car) they will be going for well below MSRP. Of course you will have those dealers who mark up the first couple of cars that come in just like they did with the M5. The last time there was a real mark up on a BMW (other then the 1M which is a total different reason as this car was a one off) was when my dad bought the 2006 BMW M5. Then it took him almost a year to get an allocation. I don't think that sort of thing will happen again anytime soon.

No offense taken at all. we will just have to wait and see. Lets hope you can find them for under MSRP but i doubt that will be the case for a while. Also it all depends on the market. Here in Socal the M3/M4 will be one of the hottest cars on the BMW lot. We alone have over 45 deposits on the cars.

There was the same hype when M5 /6 got released. People paid MSRP + and etc for their 2013s. Now nobody is interested in 2013 MY once LCI 2014 with Comp Packs were released.

It looks like those of us who are patient will eventually end up winning this game.

Regardless I can't wait to order my M4 and no I am not paying MSRP or any mark up for it.
