Gorgeous.
Thank you! Haven't seen one on a non CS yet.

I'll deem my car as the half a CS build.

New shipment comes in on the 19th of this month. Taking pre-orders now to guarantee one when they arrive.

So I bought the BMW adhesive tape kit for the CS spoiler. Anyone know what the two thin adhesive backed foam pieces are for? They're a couple of inches long. Any one have the instructions to could possibly tell me what they're for?

I was looking at those two small pieces and said WTF is this too. I think they go on both ends of the spoiler. Look at the picture where number 2 is pointing to.

Thanks for the pic. Interesting. If they're used on the the ends of the spoiler, I wonder if they're used to fill or seal the gap between the trunk surface at the tips of the spoiler. Did you use them?

I just installed mine today (also ordered from Brit!). Removing the residue from the stock spoiler was definitely the most annoying part. I don’t think I’ll ever do it myself again.

I ended up 3m taping it as shown in the diagram posted above, similar to that IND image posted earlier. Regarding the OEM tape kit, I wasn’t sure what those extra 2 foam pieces were for, so I just left them out. I assume they are used as structural support in certain areas under the recessed portion of the spoiler. I’ve never needed them when installing other spoilers, or seen them before, so I hope they weren’t completely necessary.

That is for the clubsport spoiler. The competition spoiler is the same as the base model.

Super nice! I got a replica one and doing reverse CRT. Didn't feel so bad painting most of the CF since it's not OEM

Like everybody else I skipped the 2 little foam pieces and just added more 3m tape (I actually ran out of the bmw version).

Fit and finish was 9/10 for me. My thumbs are numb though. Lol. I used fishing wire to cut through the stock spoiler, adhesive remover and alcohol wipes to clean, and an adhesive promoter wipe as my last step before locking it down. Would actually consider paying somebody to do it next time (j/k). Not looking forward to part this out.

You two are fking crazy! You need an eraser wheel in your life! This saves time and your hands. You hook it up to your drill and watch the old tape fly away:

They don't burn the paint AND you can also use it on your spoiler when you take it off to sell.

I did my first F80 spoiler with the adhesive remover and never ever again.

Haha, the sad thing is, I knew better. I had read about the wheel, but I just couldn't wait to get the spoiler on. Next time I will definitely get the wheel, at least for cleaning up the bottom of my stock spoiler!

Dude, thats exactly what I did. I ordered the eraser wheel when I had the spoiler in my hand and said forget it -- I'm not waiting, I want this thing on now. So after hours of misery I realized I shoulda just waited on the damn wheel to come in the mail lol

Interesting. I had only been thinking about doing the reverse of this: color on top, carbon only seen from back, but now you got me thinking...

Did you have IND do the painting?

Anyone have a pic of the CS spoiler on Yas Marina Blue?
