Input on 2016 F80 deal?

Hi guys, new member and possible owner here.

My local dealer has a Sapphire Black 2016 F80 M3 that I am considering, and I was hoping for your input on the deal they've offered. The car is very basic, the only option it has is the DCT. Otherwise, it has cloth interior, with the Nav. No executive package, no park assist, no backup camera or heads-up display. It does have a few mods, including the M-Performance chin spoilers, lower splitter, rear spoiler, black kidney grills, and Eibach lowering Springs. The car has about 17,500miles on it, and appears to be in great condition. The dealer sold it new and has serviced it throughout its life.

The current asking price is $50,000 with either a set of BC Forged RS41's or silver 437M's installed. They also offered to sell me any M-Performance parts I want at wholesale. Am I crazy to think they could go lower, or is this a smoking deal?

Thanks for your input.

Eh I'd say mediocre price.

Many 2016s are going around that price, if not lower, and she's not really optioned well.

With a bit of patience and a wider net you could probably find 1) something comparably specced for lower or 2) something specced better for about the sam price.

I'd start with this search.

Also, with the current state of the economy and year-end you may find some dealers/sellers giving deeper discounts at the start of the new year, but that's pure speculation.

Agree. Very mediocre price. Something like that I'd shoot for mid 40's.

Remove the value of the cosmetics from your mindset and just think about the options.

'16 F80 with DCT and cloth, 17k miles for 50k.

To give you some perspective, my '17 F80 with 19k miles with exec, ZCP, nav, was 59k back in Sept.

When you compare it to this car, it's not a very good deal at all. There was another post that asked the same type of question and they used this car as a reference.

With the low options, aftermarket parts, and black color it actually would be a more difficult car for the dealer to sell. I'd work on them a bit to get them into the mid $40K's otherwise that car might have to go to auction. They'll only get high $30's there for it.

I agree with the others, $45k max for a base model. I've been in the market searching for several months and recently talked to two dealerships for their '16 bsm 6mt m3s with exec pack, adaptive suspension and leather seats; one had 22k miles with parking sensors and the other had 27k miles no parking sensors but had cf roof and 437 wheels. Both dealers were okay with $47K, but I probably could've gotten them down to $46K if I really wanted the cars.
