CG Precision exhaust controller
Anyone use this on their F8X CP cars? Seems you can order these with different settings when purchasing. Just wondered what settings people have used when ordering?

Yeh I have this
I still believe this is the best solution for controlling valves - it doesn't take up the obd port of hang out of bottom of dash I have the remote stuck down in the centre console bin, and setup to default as oe |

Works great. If you buy used make sure to get it with the revised mounting (on the exhaust hanger). If you have home link it can control the valves.
Mine is Auto (OEM) standard and open when activated. Great for quieter start and louder when driving. |

Had one on my CP. Great little invention.
Mine was set to off = OEM. On = Valves Open.

When fitted does this override the OEM controls and is the controller always 'active' and you need to select open or closed?
If so could do with 3 settings rather than 2 e.g OEM, Open & closed. Automatic = factory would still have cold start? |

The controller itself it either flaps open or closed. When it's not activated, the car is OEM. It does not affect cold start (unless activated then cold start will be louder as valves are locked open). |

I've got one that's OEM and open, but would like to swap if anyone has one that's OEM and closed or Open and closed, and looking to change?

For those of you using Homelink with this - did any of you have any issues programming it? I have only been able to program the OFF button from the remote. I followed all the required Homelink steps and even reset Homelink twice, but cannot get ON button to work via Homelink.
Note: Ordered controller directly from CGP with default set to OEM and active setting to close valves.

Default is Auto (OEM) standard and open when activated via the kefob remote. This way its not stupid loud on startup (Auto cold start is valves closed believe it or not) and loud when you want it to be via the press of a button. If you want to hear cold start with valves open (without owning a controller), on first startup press the start button (no brake depressed) to turn ignition on, set driving mode from effiecient to sport plus, press the throttle down fully and you'll here the valves open (almost like a beep noise). Now foot on brake and start button again for a loud, valve open cold start
