Perhaps I should have worded my response better. If you have stock standard F80 (not coded), BM3 burbles will not be there unless you disable Active Sound. Bootmod3 automatically disables it when you enable burbles. If you go to the diagnostics section, there is clearly a warning that says, and I quote,

------------------------------
WARNING: Enabling Active Sound will potentially disable your burble. To renable exhaust burbles, click on DISABLE active sound.

Operation with motor running is acceptable.

[ ENABLE ] [ DISABLE ]
------------------------------

Regardless, I still stand by my statement that BM3 burbles are not the same as the OEM burbles. I also think Bootmod3 burbles sound bad. The ZCP/CS/GTS burbles have an awesome crackle sound.

Here's a video of my car a few years back when I first got Bootmod3 installed. 2 Zoom lavalier mics. One mounted above the exhaust tip, the other in the engine bay. Mix was biased to the rear mic. M-Perfomance exhaust, no other mods. The M-Perf exhaust sounds great; the burbles, not so much... "plop plop plop".

And check out this video of the CS in this Straightpipes video. The CS crackles are all over this vid. Bootmod3 burbles do NOT sound anything like this glorious crackle.

"WARNING: Disabling Active Sound will disable your burble. To renable exhaust burbles, click on ENABLE active sound"

When they first offered the slider burble feature people would loose them when they turned off the ASD via the BM3 app and created a rash of complaints and tickets to PTF

Burble from years back is way different from today plus you can customize it and get it custom tuned however you want.

Holy shit. You're right! I can't read. Can't believe they changed it. Did they also change the burble to sound more like the OEM burbles? I think I might give them another try.

The closest I’ve been able to get it to burbles similar to the CS in the video has been to make the duration ~2 seconds and crank the aggressiveness waaaay down to approximately 0.5. So far so good

I had the same dilemma with the burbles. If you're looking for tasteful burbles the closest I've found are the settings attached. It's closer to that CS OEM sound than the machine gun stuff you hear on tons of cars these days.

Interesting, Kies is willing to install crank hub + CBC, but isn't willing to install CBC alone.

That's right. I asked Bryan for a re-torque and CBC but he said they don't want to risk having a failure on a Kies job, so they only do hubs or full solutions. With all the public relations they do it's understandable to protect their reputation.

So if you coded ASD off (ex: with Carly) prior to BM3....Then you are saying that the burbles will or will not work? Because I did that, and flashed BM3 yesterday and still no burbles. Should I try method b in your post to have ASD off and burbles on?

Thanks!

For my PA inspection I couldn't pass with BM3 on...needed the stock map to go for all greens. It seems running a BM3 map prevents some systems from going green no matter what.

Others have been lucky and passed, but not me.

It depends on your states system ready requirements. My state allows one system not ready to pass, bm3 ots tunes without cats create two (2) systems not ready therefore I cannot pass. I am not sure if a custom tune alters this situation.

Email them your VIN and ask. They typically post news here, not replying to tech questions.

Anyone know how to recover a custom map that's been accidentally removed/deleted from my maps? The map is on my phone for offline flashing but I don't see it under my maps :/

Go to OTS Maps and download it again.
It will appear in the My Maps again.
