My M3 Is Here at the Dealership!!!

Well, got the call today from my sales guy that my AW/SO M3 just arrived at the dealership!!! Unfortunately, I won't be able to pick her up until Saturday

Congrats!

Wow... April 12 to June 18 is a LONG time from production to delivery. Was there a reason it took so long? BMW is telling my dealer that it is 5 to 6 weeks... and that is pretty consistent with my other M3s. Regardless, great news!

it is a long time and i think maybe the "official" launch date may have something to do with it

Congrats. Remember, first day you have to drive it 1200 miles, weigh it, do 5 0-60 runs, do a 1/4 mile, talk about how it sounds, tell us how the brakes are, do a lap on the Nordschleife, and complain about the steering. You have til Sunday, 6AM. No pressure.

Just picked up my SO/SO M4 today. Got off work too late to make the ChitownM meet (plus the weather was horrible). Hopefully can make the West Loop meet next Thursday.

I can't believe they're making you wait until Saturday. I've never even heard of a dealership taking that long to turn around a customer car once delivered. If you don't care about them detailing it (or even pulling off the white plastic) you should be able to call them right now and tell them you're coming to take it...I don't see them saying anything but, "ok". Maybe GOLFRRR can chime in here with his take.

no, u misunderstood me. the earliest available time for me to pick up the M3 is this Saturday. it's my decision, not the dealership
