I never realized that. Im telling you, right before i pull up to my house I turn off sport mode and my car is quiet again when im reving in the garage. I do the same at work...but not sure if its only doing that when im in efficient mode. Okay i have to verify that now. Sorry guys, I just got this car 2 months ago so I'm still playing with it.

Okay so my m1 setting is - dc on, sport, comfort, default view. I like that configuration. The valves remained open from the time i drove off the garage until i got back from picking up the kids from school. I definitely hear the difference. I love the sound of my stock exhaust with the valves open. I also visually inspected those valves before and after. They were still open. I press the M1 button and they close!
Regardless, im sure the module you guys have is good for other features.

Firmware v1.14 released.

Now includes driver/occupant detection for Auto Closing of windows/Mirror folding (does not initiate commands when inside vehicle).

Use MSconnect to connect module with provided USB cable and firmware will update automatically.

Flash tune yes, not piggybacks if they utilize CAN (JB4).

just wanted to update everyone. I installed this on my new 2017 M4 and it works like a charm. I am still so happy with this little mod, def one of my favorites.

I have had this installed on all 3 of my M4s never had one issue.

Also noticed with the ZCP exhaust when you start up the car the exhaust flaps are open for a split second to give that loud blip sound when you start the car up even when its warm. You can imagine how loud that blip is on a cold start with DPs and full evo system. I close the valves on start up each morning and this drastically quiets that initial start up blip. Works nice.

I wanted to note one other thing, if anyone is interested.

With the new sport exhaust you will get the crackling when you let off the gas. I personally dont like this, and with my DPs and Akra Evo set up its exaggerated a lot. So I have been able to eliminate this by using the valve controller to keep valves open but drive in efficiency mode.

I know not everyone feels the same way as I do about the crackles but for those of you who do this simple set up works to eliminate that.
