For what it's worth I'll be using Irvine bmw and going with Gary as SA and requesting Reggy Racoma as the tech

Have been taking my car to Carlos and Rob and Center BMW Sherman Oaks, CA . They have seen my mods, no issues what so ever. Great reliable work. Fixed my leaking oil pan that another dealership caused. Highly recommend them!

I’m wondering what kind of dealer negligence if at all caused your issue. |

Long story short, they didn't want to own up to their tech stripping my oil pan bolt, so I told them nicely to go fuck them selves. Took it to Center where they retapped my oil pan and put a washer in between the bolt and oil pan, no leaks. $15 bucks for parts. Moral of the story... stick with your trusted BMW dealer even if its out of your way and always get a 2nd opinion.. |

Maybe a year or so ago, went in for an in coverage routine oil change at McKenna Norwalk location where they also replaced the leaking charge cooler. Next morning I see a puddle of oil under my ride. I make a call, SA Monica books time ASAP. Oil pan bolt stripped, need new oil pan. Car buttoned up the day after with new oil pan. I'm not sure if Monica's still there as I've been taking mine to Alfonso at South Bay only because at the time Charlie was on staff. I continue to go to SA Alfonso and will unless they f things up too. I dunno how incompetent/lazy one must be 2 strip a bolt, something so b.a.s.i.c. Though they got me back in promptly and offered to pay for my Lyft, no acknowledgement they made an error, no apologies for the massive inconvenience. Mind boggled.

Bumping because I need to take my M2 for service either end of this year or beginning next year. Is McKenna still good and any good SA?

My complaint is more about their professionalism and the SA's BMW knowledge than the service itself. My SA took forever to come out to meet with me, and I only got him to come out after I asked someone to flag him down. I also gave him a couple of other things to have the tech look into, which he misunderstood and misinterpreted to the tech. I figured this out after I picked my car up and drove off. I should have known better when I saw him take out a piece of paper at his desk and write stuff down very slowly. When I went to pick up the car, they forgot to put my car into the delivery queue so I waited around for 40 minutes until I went up to them and asked. Amateur hour at its finest. I've been to South Bay BMW, Sterling BMW, and Peter Pan BMW (in Bay Area) and they've always treated me well. |
