DCT Transmission Oil/Filter Change detailed instructions

Since many don't check the DIY section:

Ok guys I'm really excited to give you my video on the DCT Transmission Oil and Filter change that I just performed on my 2015 M4. There is no other video out there like this! Don't forget to like and subscribe for me. I even got ECS Tuning to create a complete kit with everything you need.

Nice job on video, quick question. On M3/4's DCT, do you have to perform a clutch adaptation after oil change?

Thanks! I have not heard of anyone doing that, so I'd say no. If someone else has other info, let me know.

Woot! Thanks. I was hoping you would do DCT fluid at some point.

Did you drain the gearbox fluid when the car was at operating temperature? When I drained my gearbox at operating temp, I was able to get out about 6.5L not including the fluid stuck in the filters.

Nope. The temperature must be <=32C.

Seems like a lot of work. How much does the dealer and an independent charge for this? The kit is 550 alone.

Someone told me the dealer quoted them $2800. So $550 is a steal

No. The Temp must be under 32C ONLY when performing the ISTA service function. But when initially draining the gearbox fluid to change the filters and pan, it can be at whatever temperature. From a few others who have done the gearbox service like me, it looks like you can drain more from the gearbox at operating temperature than compared to draining the fluid when its fully cold

Oh gotcha. That could be the case then.
