Baby Dragon got to stretch her legs on the dyno today...not bad for stock intake and stock plugs. Only mods are exhaust and flex fuel.

Looking good! How well is flex fuel working out? Any issues with variability of ethanol content? Do you need to datalog and tune at multiple content levels?

Maybe I missed it or Im not understanding, but how do you actually purchase RaceROM? I understand you get the files from your tuner but you'd have to buy the product first, and the link to purchase doesn't direct me to a product.

Flex fuel is working perfectly, I fill it up with whichever fuel is easiest available to me and I don't bother checking it...my wife has been driving the car a bunch the past month and she prefers the stations closer to the house, which are all 91 octane. During the tuning stage, I would log runs at the various ethanol blends so my tuner could verify the calibration and make changes if needed. My tuner also has his own F80 with the same setup on his car pretty much so he has developed the tune through his and my own testing.

You need to purchase the Dongle and License through an Ecutek Master Tuner. Contact ian@bendcalibration.com for more info.

However this being said, I have been patient in waiting for a few items for Ecutek to optimize with no eta yet. Those items are nothing holding anyone back, it's just some tweaks which will make the tuning process much more efficient for other users.

No idea who Visconti is but I know good tuners can be very selective who they do business with and in my opinion this is a good thing.

Visconti tunes mine as well. He’s been all in on A90 Supra recently. I find text or Facebook messenger the easiest way to communicate with him.

What exhaust mods do you have? I'm assuming downpipes are part of your setup.

I'll be seeing John at Visconti soon for my ECUTEK Tune and DME removal for a bench reflash.

He's spotty on email responses but his tuning abilities, and feedback from clients is excellent...

Its a 3.5 hr drive but I'm looking fwd to it...

Other than flex fuel, are there any killer features with ecutek compared to bootmod3?

On the fly map switching, custom tables/mapping, and then overall package.

What do you mean by custom tables? Access to more tables in the DME than bootmod3 exposes?

No these tables wouldn't be in the factory calibration...custom tables being completely custom to whatever strategy a good tuner may develop.

To answer your first question, in ECUTek, I can make a completely custom 3D map which can be enabled or disabled with a myriad of different options. It really helps the tuner

Second question, yes, I have access to exponentially more maps in ECUTek compared to BM3.

Interesting! So the ECUTek software is more like a custom re-write of the DME software instead of just remapping existing tables?

It does have some custom logic in the DME.

Have they cracked the March 2019 antituning update?

AFAIK, no tuning software has cracked that update. The DME has to be removed and bench flashed
