Yes it is possible and can be completed by following these very simple DIY steps:
1. sell your MT car
2. Buy DCT car

I’m not sure but I think the solution appears to be sell it and buy a DCT. But I’m not positive.

This definitely needs to be a sticky in the DIY section

I once did this with a 1990 Mustang, took out the automatic and put in a manual transmission. It worked fine however the level of difficulty on a Fox body Mustang vs a modern F80 would be like comparing walking to the store for milk or flying to Mars. Sell the car and get a DCT LOL

This has been done in the E46 chassis but the SMG was a lot more comparable in nature.

I’m 100% positive this can be done on the F8X chassis, the question is do you have unlimited funds to stomach this, or go the easy way and follow the DIY as posted.

As Mr. Garrison (Cartman’s teacher on South Park) said, “there are no stupid questions... only stupid people.” Lol. Not directed at OP at all, just remembered this quote after reading yours.

Garage List
2019 BMW M4  [9.63]
Would cost more to switch the transmissions than to just replace cars. Like a lot more.
