Will Toyo R888R 305/30/19 Fit

Hi Guys

I have a 2018 F80 with Swift Spec r Springs

Currently running Signature Sv104's 19x11 et 40 in rear with Bridgestone Re71R 305/30/19 and it fits nicely. Im concerned as Im wanting to move to Toyo R888R rubber. I used the last of the Bridgestones up at Shift Sector.

From the tire rack specs even though the tire sizes are the same the Toyo is about half an inch wider in tread. Im trying to not have to go with the 295/30/19

Here is a pic of me warming up the last of my Bridgestones up at Shift Sector

Has anyone run 305/30/19 R888R rubber with this set up ?

305 should be no issue at all on 11 + 40

RE-71R and R888R both share the same section width of 12.3" despite the R888R having broader shoulders with a higher tread width of 11.8" versus 11.1" for the RE-71R.

For comparison, both PS4S and ExtremeContact Sport in 305/30/19 also run a section width of 12.3" but the PS4S runs an 11.5" tread width versus 10.9" for the ECS.

In short, ET44 would give you more clearance on 19x11 with R compound, but 4mm isn't that much of a difference, so you should be okay with ET40 as well. I wouldn't recommend running a 30-series tire (e.g. 295/30/19) profile if you do plenty of straight line runs.

Off topic: Did you buy these wheels off a forum member from San Jose?

You should have no problem with R888R clearance. These tires run very close in terms of section width so if you are already clearing with the RE71R then the R888R will clear as well.

A 295/30-19 will work as well but might be a bit less "square" on the 11" wheel you have, just a heads up on that!

Ahh, you got a hell of a deal on those wheels and tires!

I was close to picking them up myself, but ran into last minute troubles with the house boss.

You can technically fit 315/30/18 ET44 in the rear if you find the 305/30/19 to be inadequate. Although, those R compound tires need to heat up before they're able to provide stickier traction.

People have had just as good of a result with 305/30/19 PS4S in a straight line run due to the tire compound requiring less heat efficiency.
