hi,

I am going to get a set of HRE R101 Lightweight 20" wheels. My car is 2018 F80 M3 with ZCP.

front: 20" * 9.5"
rear : 20"*11"

tires: Michelin PS4S 265/30 and 295/30

HRE can do a range of offset from 20 to 24 in front and from 37 to 44 in rear.

I don't wanna use any spacers or lower my F80 M3. Any suggestions on offset ?

Thanks in advance.

best,

I have P101s on my M3 (20x9.5/11) and went with a 37 rear and 20 front offset. The 37 rear offset is pretty aggressive. Here's a few pics for reference and will try to get more.

Did you lower the car ?
Yes, lowered with M Performance HAS at lowest setting. 265/295 MPS4 tires and it's a tight fit in the rear.

I recommend 20x9.5 ET20 and 20x11 ET38

I am on M HAS running 275/30/20 (26.5”) MPS4s on 20x9.5 ET18 and 295/30/20 (27”) MPS4s on 20x11 ET38.

I am thinking about getting et 20 and et 37 . what do you think of this setup ?

Also, I think 275/30 R20 ps4s might rub the tires in front.

That would work fine but if you ever wanted to go 305/25/20 I’d go et40.

That's a really tall tire. I'm running 305/30/19 PS4s with an 19X11 ET40 and they fit without rubbing, even lowered. To be safe I suggest going with at ET44 at the lowest to make sure there is room for the tall tire.

275/30/20 MPS4s may rub on ET20.

If lowered in front, the perch of MHAS is the only problematic area, attaching some pictures which show plenty of clearance, I am running 20x9.5 ET18 on MHAS and 275/30/20 MPS4.

I used to run both 295/35/19 and 305/30/19 MPSSs on 19X11 ET41 lowered on MHAS, that was on my first set of wheels, HRE R101LWs. I had no fitment/rubbing issues in either case even though the 295/35/19 MPSS was a rather tall tire, 27.2".

You can very safely run 295/30/20 MPS4 on 20x11 ET38 to ET41, at this point it all depends on how flush you want the wheel to look.

I'm on 20x10 with a 26mm offset at the front. 275x30x20 PS4S - no rubbing.
20x11 with a 35mm offset at the rear. This is pretty flush and I wouldn't go any further. 295x30x20 PS4S at the rear.

Could you post some pics of your car from the side if possible ?

Thanks a lot

thanks a lot.

if I go 275/30 R20 in front with ET 20 without lowering the car, do you think if it would rub ?

If you are not lowering your car, I would go with the most conservative offsets, i.e. 24mm front 44mm rear offsets. If you go aggressive offsets without lowering, the car will not have enough camber and the rims/tires will stick outside the wheel well.

Also, if you decide to lower the car, and the offset is not aggressive enough, you can easily add 5-10mm spacers. If you get a super aggresive offset and don't like how the car looks. Oh well, too bad. You're stuck w/ what you have. No way to fix an aggressive offset with spacers.

Also, going conservative with the offsets will let you run a wider range of tires without worrying about certain brands being wider and rubbing vs. other brands.

Agreed but the OP said that he wants to run 305/30/20 which is why I recommended a higher offset due to large overall diameter.
