Depends where you are. F83 M4 has been and will continue to be (until a catastrophic event) a wonderful DD in sunny places. You can haul more stuff with the top down than in the trunk with the top up and the rear seats are usable. Not many folding top convertibles with usable back seats. YMMV...

Ultimately, its all about personal preferences and choices; I would not like to drive my M4 everyday but you do. |

I drove a (rental) Cadillac XTS over the weekend. Made me appreciate the M4 so much more again.
The Caddy did not zig.

Kia spectra is a nice play if you need to drive into a rough downtown area or leave the car at a train station |

As someone that had both, I think the F80 is the perfect daily vs. the F82. That being said, both are great in my opinion and my take can be because I did not have all the options in my F82 as I do in my F80. Also, having kids & back problems helps out with the extra doors (even though I am a coupe guy and this is my first sedan).

Oh man, if my work commute involved dirt roads I would go back to my old ways and have a wrx wagon so I could slide the heck out it on the way to work
