Replaced my headlight - does it need to be coded?

Hey guys I have a problem with the driver side headlight. My old headlight broke so I replaced it with a used one. Now the new headlight came with everything so I just plugged it in and it's not turning on. Do they require coding or any of that sort.

Okay thanks. So it's normal that no light is coming on even turn signal? It's a led headlight.

You switch out an LED headlight for a HID one? Otherwise the modules should be identical

Headlights need to be programmed??? That sounds ridiculous. I could maybe see it on led variant.

It should be Rheingold (aka ISTA/D) to teach in the driver module and then E-Sys (or ISTA/P) to code FEM.

So I have a similar situation here. I'm replacing a damaged passenger side headlight. I have E-Sys but, am not very familiar with it. I do not have Rheingold and have never used it.

If I swap the modules from the damaged unit to the new unit will I be able to activate whatever teaching function I need from E-Sys or will I need Rheingold? What is the teaching function accomplishing, the aim and adaptive motion?

That depends on headlight.
If its led just click CODE on FLE, if its xenon click CODE on FEM_BODY or STML/STMR.
Then you have to go to ISTA+ and run adaptation.
Simple and easy.

So, am I right, you just need to click Code on a block using Esys and you do not need to do some manual editing configuration or binary files with vehicle VIN and then somehow to apply that changes (because I read in some articles that it is needed)?

Any factory option can just be vo coded. Bolean logic takes care of setting parameters for you.

I do not see FDL information in my headlamp unit

Hi, could you please point me to the right direction - I connected with Esys to my car and for right headlamp I do not see a file with FDL for TMS (42). What do I need to do to remediate this? I bought a car without right headlamp and then bought used headlamp (I have adaptive Xenon headlamps). In this used headlamp only low beam works.
I use PSzData Lite (https://mega.nz/folder/qwQ3CKpI#Iw5b6-JMRb80ifnBPX5OMA), E-Sys 3.30.1 + E-Sys Launcher PRO v2.8.1, my I-Step (shipment): F025-16-07-502.
