New HREs in new color for the 133,000 mile M3

Hello everyone,

I ordered my F80 in 2014 and since then I've gone through almost 20 sets of wheels and even more front lips - but I think I'm done with at least the wheels portion of that.

I had the opportunity of getting the very first set of HREs in their new White Gold color. They are HRE 520 with White Gold centers and Polished Clear FMR-X barrels (they are 2 piece wheels, with a forged 1 piece barrel and 1 piece center). This is my favorite set so far and I think the best color I've ever done on this car.

I ran 20x10 and 20x12 on 255/305 forever but have downsized to 20x9.5 and 20x11.5 on the same size tires for a little more sidewall since I am not as low now as I used to be.

The car is sitting at 133,000 miles and I have no plans of slowing that down. I've had this car now for almost 10 years now and really can't emphasize this enough to fellow F80 owners: don't sell your cars

Updated modification list:
- GTS hood - OEM
- Euro Front Bumper - OEM
- ICON LCI Headlights - OEM
- CS Carbon Front Lip - 1ne Performance
- CS Carbon Trunk Spoiler - 1ne Performance
- CS Carbon Diffuser - OEM
- LCI Tailights - OEM
- KW Suspension Adjustable Rear Control Arms
- Status Gruppe SRS Coilover Suspension
- Ground Control Camber Plates
- Custom Hydraulic Noselift
- Bootmod3 Stage 1 Tune - ProTuning Freaks
- Painted Rear Reflectors - IND Distribution
- Air Vent Mounted Digital Gauge - P3 Gauges
- Alcantara Steering Wheel - M Performance
- Alcantara Hand Brake - M Performance
- Alcantara Shift Knob - M Performance
- Alcantara Arm Rest - M Performance
- Wireless Phone Charger - Induktiv
- Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tips - no idea, don't remember getting this
- BMC Intake Filters
- HRE Wheels 520 in White Gold, Polished Clear Barrels - 20x9.5 and 20x11.5
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - 255/30/20 and 305/25/20
- Brake Calipers painted in Gulf Blue
- BavSound full system

I'm really happy with how the car currently sits.

Respect my friend. These cars so well built and your car is pristine. . I don't plan of selling my 15 F82 anytime soon either. Mine only has 27.5 k miles though lol!

You used to run your car lower than this?

Looks great! As others have said, it's really cool (IMO) that you have a bunch of miles on it. There is a FB group called "Miles Impossible" that I am a part of. Really fun to see cars with tons of miles on them. IDK why, but I have a weird fascination with cars with tons of miles. haha

Thanks for posting - it looks great! Keep adding those miles!

I think for me, it's great to see how they mechanically hold up over time and what repairs are needed by then.

Seeing 133k miles from the same owner is pretty awesome. I've certainly never put 30k miles in one year on a car before!

The key has been to replace everything that breaks or gets worn out, without hesitation hahaha

It's been a great car, and I'm still in love. I ran out of of my 50k mile warranty by the end of year 2!

Time really does fly! The car still feels pretty new, outside of some small wear items on the interior like steering wheel buttons. As soon as I get some time I'm going to be replacing those.

What kind of maintenance and repairs have you had to do? Car still looks brand new!

All the maintenance you should do with 135k miles of driving. Valve cover gaskets (first at 75k, then 130k) diff bushings, oil changes every 5-7.5k, clutch at 110K. Regular stuff.
