AA EL Mid and VRSF rattle.

Hello all, Ive been running my Dinan rear section with my AA Equal Length resonated midpipe and stock downpipes for about a month now and do belive that it is the best setup for this car. But me being the car crazy guy I am I decided to throw on VRSF downpipes to see how it sounds. The issue is it threw off the exhausts alignment so much that no matter what I did it rubs on the center brace. I decided to go back to my comp muffler to see if that does anything but of course it doesnt. Anyone have fitment issues with the AA el mid and downpipes? I should have just left the exhaust alone when I liked it.

did you use the new center brace AA provided with the midpipe? If so, that is unusual. perhaps add washers to create a bigger gap?

Yeah, I have their brace, very weird since their products are great. I honestly hate having to mess with exhaust alignment.

that is very unusual. i have a lot of gap between the brace and midpipe. i'd recommend seeing another shop to re-align the pipes.

There's a known resonance issue at ~2K RPM using catless DPs with either EL. Has been known for awhile. No solution to date.

Where are you in LA? I got the AA Single with Dinan rear if you wanna compare

louielouie is correct. If you hear the buzz (sort of like wacking a bee hive) around 2k rpm, it is pretty much unavoidable unless you go back to stock downpipes (even catted will do it).
I've ran Remus, AA EL Res, Catted and catless dp. I went to single bc of this issue

I'm honestly kind of upset at myself for even messing with it lol! AA EL res and Dinan rear section was perfection in my mind. I'm going to mess around with it more tomorrow morning to see if it makes a difference.

You should watch the videos from thic whips and f80 ho.

They both went through multiple iterations to try and fix it. It's catless paired with the EL. Can't be fixed as of right now

I played around with it and fixed it... for now.
I ordered the single mid to try the resonated version. It sounds decent with the EL but very raspy.

I had EL before I swapped to single resonated mid and I will never go back.

Catless DP + AA Single Res + MPE is what Im running and by far one of the best that I've heard
