Hardware springs

I got some v1 eibach springs but literally zero accompanying hardware. Do I need any hardware or just pop them in?

Also debating trying myself vs paying somebody. Any novices have experience?

You'll need a few tools to take out your shocks, be sure you have the necessary ones before removing anything. Especially the spring compressors and the spindle spreader.
