Sure. But the throttle map selected as comfort also controls which exhaust flap map is utilized and maybe other MAPs. I believe the sport + throttle map also activates different boost controls and cooling fan MAPs. If I understand what I have read about the systems.

For those who want stock like tunes, but must have burbles control. What are you doing/using?

Do the OTS GTS, CS, or CSL maps allow burble adjustment?

Are the burbles on the OTS GTS, CS or CSL map louder than STOCK ZCP burbles? Same? Quieter?

Tempted to try this once again. But don't want all that sledge hammer boost at once.

I've been running the GTS tune for awhile now and it's a pretty civil burble. I'm just running an MPE on top of the tune. I tried messing with the sliders but it seemed to make no difference. The CS tune seemed much quieter.

I turned off the fake audio engine noise and am running the GTS tune. The burbles are less that stock. Recent GTS update tune was also the same. Sliders did not make a difference.

I just tried stg1 91 and burbles were much louder than stock zcp burbles.

Then I moved the aggression slider to 3 and that made a noticeable change too.

So far I'm happy that my burbles are louder than OEM. And I'm happier the one slider I touched worked for me.

Leaving it alone and can't wait for no cold start tomorrow!

Anyone know the answer to this?

I recently purchased a 2015 MY Base M3. I'm 99% sure it was tuned at some point , had downpipes etc. It was returned to stock to trade in for a Porsche. If I want to go BM3 route now, will it matter what he did with a tune in the past? Will i need to do anything differently?

I'm not sure I understand your question. And Im no pro here.

But if you're back to stock, you should be able to flash a tune with BM3? Your ECU might already be unlocked. Not that it matters anymore though.

Cant hurt to try right?

My experience with the GTS/CS maps where the same. Mellow burbles. We didnt have any sliders when I last tried them so thats a bummer that they dont seem to work. I keep seeing stuff posted about sliders not functioning.

If I could get GTS/CSL maps with Stg1 burbles and adjustments, Id be more than happy.

Yea I think you understood pretty well, I wasn't sure if maybe it had been tuned by some other ECU flash back to "stockish" if it would matter to the BootMod3 system. Either way, thanks for the input!

Does bm3 uploaded the actual stock file from the dme at time of install, to be used when going back to stock?

So I have an issue that i could not find the answer through searches.I have a 18’ M4 ZCP. I installed the bootmod3 OBD AGENT for windows, downloaded/installed java 8 went to flash a m4 cs stage 0 tune and midway, the boodmod3 said error at 48% now my car will not start makes a humming noise and the OBD agent/bootmod3 says DME software details unavailable. Tried disconnecting the battery and left it dissconnected for 10 min tried and same issue, it cant read the dme. My ENET cable is securly connected on both ends. Please help. tIA

When you flash the first time BM3 copies and stores you factory tune. You can flash back to stock whenever you like.

I had the same issue initially running the CS tune.

However few months back I had to go back to stock for dealer visit and this time when I flashed the CS tune, even though no codes were thrown I still did an online recode. That actually allowed the changes I made to the burbles settings to go into effect.

Try the burble settings, flash CS or GTS and then do an online recode even if you have no issues. Hopefully it works for you guys as it did for me.

Can anyone answer this for me please?

What is the "alter idle RPM" there for? Do you have to mess with that if you disable cold start or something?

Thanks for the tip. But are the burbles as loud as ZCP even with the adjusters working?

If you adjust it then it's louder. I haven't tried the stock configuration and do the online recode to see how it compares to OEM ZCP.

Lots of options there for burble adjustment. You can adjust it on the AGG (aggressive burble) Stage 2 OTS map or any of the other ones. Aggression slider in the app changes the ignition timing retard for burble. In a nutshell, the higher the number, the more ignition retard, the louder it gets. Along with that you get to change duration, rpm cut off min/max and and vehicle speed cut off min/max. We're adding some more features/changes in here based on user feedback that'll make it adjustable even further

Any chance you can record inside when driving? I want to go catless dp and AA midpipe, but unsure if it will be too loud for me

If you're keeping your stock muffler and running AA midpipe with catless DPs it'll be loud when you want it to be and quiet in efficient. With the exhaust flaps closed its just as quiet as stock. With them open on the other hand
