What is the best way to wash the car?

I'm getting into griots spray on car wash and optimum no rinse car wash. Both are excellent for year round indoor washing. Optimum is much better suited if your car is filthy.

Great information provided...has anyone had experiences with a professional car wash place - not like one of those cheap places where it runs through some machine - but a car detailing place? Something "quality".

The most important thing when washing the car is to have the proper chemicals and a foam gun. Spray the car and after the solvent has worked, use pressure wash to get alla dirt, sand and other particles off as much as possible.
No two can method helps if this isn't done in the first place. Regular sponges are crap. Use microfiber gloves. The goal is always to touch the surface as little as possible, and if needed, use the softest gloves you can find.
After the wash, rinse the car with a hose to get as much water as possible off the surface. i use a hot air blower in all creases and around edges and in door openings, then a microfiber towel.

Foam is by no means crucial to a car wash.

No, but it makes it easier and you should use the pressure washer anyway. Most important was maybe not the right word, sorry for that.

Don’t you run a higher risk of getting swirl marks or maring if you are wiping all the paint down with microfiber and a spray wash?
