2015 Individual M3 Grigio Telesto arrived

It's funny how people can project their own insecurities on others that they are jealous, envious of, or don't understand...

Frankly though I've been noticing quite a downward trend in terms the negativity and hate on these forums recently. It's pretty disturbing. Last time I checked we were all here to fellowship in our passion for BMWs, but according to some members who own M3s, they aren't "aspirational". Hmmm... try being a full time college graduate student who works two jobs as well just so he can afford to pay the car payment/insurance/gas on a 2009 CPO 335i Sedan. Someone who dreams of purchasing a unique M3 one day when he's financially able. An M3 like the OP's. Try being grateful for the fact that you have an M3, because to some people, like me, it is a car worth aspiring to. Why hate on your own car though (more or less)? It doesn't make sense.

But seriously, why all the hate, not just in this thread but seemingly everywhere on the forums these days? My three year old cousin acts more mature than some of these "adults" do sometimes. Why can't you just think "ok that's not for me, but more power to them" and not even post to make yourself look like a jealous ass. Why can't you appreciate the uniqueness of the car from the brand you're supposed to be here celebrating, instead of hating on it because his paint doesn't match your tastes and wasn't a color you would choose. It's ridiculous. It's hypocritical to $70k for a car and love it, mainly because it's specced the way YOU want, and someone else spends more to spec it they way THEY want, and they're automatically classless, stupid, and/or insane.

So much negativity... It's ridiculous and churlish.

Grigio Telesto is a Lambo color. I was told there was an F10 M5 done in this color but no other m3's.

I will post better pics after my detailed goes through the car.

Additionally, I have the titanium exhaust from BMW that still needs to be installed. Only other modifications will be clear bra, tint, springs, and spacers.

I agree with you... and I don't agree with you.

Obviously, this thread has taken a turn for the nasty, and a lot of it seems to be rooted in petty jealousy or something that really is uncalled for. Frankly, I think it reflects most poorly on the people posting such stuff, but agree we could do without it.

On the other hand, there's also a massive sensitivity here against any kind of criticism whatsoever. Go into the modded sections and it's a veritable cheerleader squad where people post ridiculous looking stuff asking what we all think, but don't care to hear "Those wheels look ridiculous and the car is way too low."

Ultimately, if you put it on the internet, I assume you can take a little criticism along with the kudos. Sure there's always a few jerks who get out of hand, but they're readily identifiable for what they are.
