Question: Besides the kidney grilles and side gills, isn't the exterior trim already in gloss black as standard?

If you choose the comp package and opt for the standard wheels, do they still charge full price?

Also, wouldn't substituting the wheels affect the driving dynamics that were balanced with those abominations in mind?
They did on the M5/6 Comp Pack, which was the only one that allowed you to opt out of the included wheels, but when you did you at least got the non-Comp Pack upgraded wheels rather than the true base set.

As for changing them, the most important point to maintain is overall diameter, so if these 20s use lower aspect tires to maintain a similar rolling diameter to the 19s (just as the 19s use a lower aspect than the 18s to maintain this), then you could just swap the 19s back on with minimal to no impact.

Shadow line is standard in the US but not all markets, I believe.

20" fully forged, machine polished unobtainium alloy wheels. give me a break...they're hideous and will contribute to more cracked wheels and flats.

So with the e9x generation we at least had three full model years before they introduced the ZCP (08-10). Yet now BMW is giving us one or MAYBE two model years before releasing this? Way to screw your early adopters...

Don't confuse your numbers (0-60mph vs 0-100km/h). According to BMW 0-100km/h for DCT cars:

Base M3/4 = 4.1 seconds
M3/4 CP = 4.0 seconds
M4 GTS = 3.8 seconds

So the GTS is still 0.2 seconds quicker to 100km/h. And it has 49hp/50ps more than the CP, not 56.

So with the focus on better sounding exhaust do they still include the active sound?

Overall I think the car is a winner. It should also be less common than the E92 ZCP given price and comments on wheel size and design.

Stiffer competition probably pushed them to release this package early. AMG has said C63S Coupe which comes out this summer ran the same Ring time as the last-gen W204 C63 Black Series (7:46), and Alfa Romeo is claiming 7:39 for the Giulia.

The M4 laps the Ring in 7:52, so if they want to keep up with the upcoming competition this year, they'll need to up their game!

Are people really going to be able to tell this performance difference unless you are an all star driver? I would guess that most of us won't so it's more of the cosmetic things that will be more relevant for most of us.

: .... And yesterday they said M2 is now 4.1 sec., so i don't think M3/M4 is 4.1 too, more like 3.9!

Can someone photoshop a drop on this car with those wheels? I'm so confused by them. I kind of like them I guess?

I don't feel screwed because I wouldn't buy this package. The wheels are an absolute no-go for me.

Not to mention I've been enjoying my car for over a year already. I feel bad for the members who were waiting for this. Of course I'm sure a majority of them will now say they are waiting for the next generation M... or the LCI M2...or the (fill in the blank because they are just talkers and aren't buying anything )

The suspension changes can make for a different feel that some customers might prefer even if they wouldn't be able to go any faster with it, but yes you'd probably need to be a very good driver to be markedly faster. But a significant percentage of M car owners tragically never even bother to go to a track in the first place, and even the non-Comp M cars have more than enough performance for the road, so even if the performance improvements were noticeable to novices on track, they would still be moot for most customers. But obviously there's still a market for more go-fast bits!
