Confirmed plus video the M3 was updated as well...
The question is how much Click above for Video
I downloaded the videos: definitely a metallic red for the M4, a dark metallic brown (smoked topaz?) for the M4 vert and dark metallic blue (tanzanite?) for the M3. The red could be Sakhir Orange II but looks pretty red to me...

(Although, I for one still want analogue gauges...and a manual transmission. I'll go back to my cave now.)
But even the M4 doesn't get the new digital gauge cluster. Or at least we haven't seen anything yet to suggest or confirm it does. Not carrying the digital cluster over from the 4 Series to the M4 could be argued as a counterintuitive move since the M4 is positioned at the top of that model lineup in price and other ways.

The F80's involvement in the discussion is really an anomoly limited to the headlights and perhaps other incidentals that carry over from 4 Series to 3 Series. Well, I say that assuming that the digital gauges won't fall into that category. On the other hand, given the parts sharing between the two, it is technically possible they could.

Edit: Ok, so the 3 Series is indeed getting the optional digital gauge display: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1344371. So you're right, this would have been just one more thing to irk those who thought their LCI F80 would be the ultimate in updates for that model. But since this is coming to neither the M3 nor M4, that potential major controversy is avoided.

M3/4 didn't get the all digital gauge cluster...what a huge let down. That was the only thing worth waiting for...not anymore.

I'll try to re-explain:

Pferdestärke (ps) is simply a language translation for Horsepower (hp), there is no technical differentiation between the two terms. The technical differentiation lies in the standard used (DIN or SAE). Look at BMW.CO.UK, they use the DIN standard in the UK and the M3/4 are listed at 431hp/450hp

Using ps and hp to differentiate between DIN and SAE respectively is just internet/forum jargon.

Yes. Just like the original F80 headlights were different from the original F30 headlights.

Why? Because, the F80's front end is not based on the F30's. Instead it shares its front end with the F82, which is naturally derived from the F32.
Oops, i knew that but somehow forgot it haha. Thanks. I was probably thinking about the M4 and regular 4 series headlights which are the same.

My thought exactly
M Cars are always analog gauges. 6 Series has DDC, M6 does not. It's part of the M DNA.

New LED headlights definitely look better than the old headlights. Glad to see them on the M3 also.

The silver ZCP wheels define the ZCP package. Why would you want to make them black and lose all the precious detail of those wheels?

I absolutely despise the black trim though. The black badges, kidney surrounds, side marker, and black exhaust tips... ugh horrible.

Ok, so that's an existing color then. Looks different from what I'd seen here in pics, but I guess it's lighting (?).

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1177784

So, unless that blue on the M3 in the video is something other than either Tanzanite Blue or Azurite Black, I don't think there are any new M3/M4 colors. Edit: per pics below, M3 is definitely not Azurite, and doesn't really look like Tanzanite either, but hard to say.

Mules were spotted with taillights that are seemingly different from the ones seen here and insiders pointed to BMW documentation that stated that 5AN would be offered as an option on all 4-series. So it is/was not unreasonable to believe that OLED taillights would indeed be offered as an option.

Either BMW had a change of strategy or they will be announced at a later date.

This is so stupid. Fake stitching on plain plastic... At least use sensatec on the dashboard if you really want to make stitching standard.
