Manual VS DCT steering wheels... help!
I’m trying to buy a DCT carbon steering wheel... some confusion on whether I need these Holes drilled to apply to a DCT M4. Any past experience or info would be appreciated. I’m being told there isn’t a difference if the holes are drilled. So will a non drilled wheel accept the paddle shifters or not?

I'm pretty sure if you have DCT you need a DCT steering wheel (or an aftermarket steering wheel built on a DCT core) to install the paddles. For a manual vehicle it doesn't matter since you won't have paddles to install.
If you watch this video, at the 5 min mark you'll see that the steering wheel from this manual vehicle doesn't have the holes the M performance replacement he's installing has. |

Learn from me. MT and DCT wheels are not the same. I bought a M Performance wheel for my f82, and wanted to put my great condition wheel on my gfs f80 since hers was rough. come to find out, my wheel did not have the holes needed to install the paddle shifters. luckily I had a laser drill that I was able to used to drill holes on the wheel. Other words, dct wheels will work on both, but not the other way around.
