Help with tires. Time for radial or stay on street tire and extend width?

Hey guys. I have a FBO DCT M4. Keeping the car on the stage 1 OTS BM3 map for now— but will be doing crankhub very soon and then going custom on e85.

With that being said— i need some new rear tires! Currently on corded Super Sports on the OEM sizes. Fronts still have a little life in them.

should I go on R888R already or upgrade to PS4S?

If i do PS4S:
1) do i need to get new fronts or just get rears?
1) how much wider should i go front and rear? (255/275 now). How wide can i even go on a stock suspension setup?

Done a good bit of research, but haven't gotten conclusive answers.

Most of the rears currently are on backorder. I just had to put new fronts on only because of this. PS4's and supersports until Feb..I'm not sure about the R888R..I think tire rack has them.

What size would you go with?

R888r sucks in any amount of rain, fairly good otherwise. MPS4S would be better for street use, but you might want some wider wheels so you can grip with the E tune. I like 265 front and 305 rears.

R888R will put the power down better than PS4S. I have PS4S in stock size 255/275 and it sometimes struggle to put the power down if I mash the gas.

I ordered 265 and 285s for my PS4S, which is going to get installed this week, I am hoping this will give me some better traction and give me some additional ground clearance I need to clear this bump in my driveway.

I think the widest you can go on stock is 275/295 but you'll run into aquaplanning issues.

Did you go "blackwall" or the "BMW Star Spec?"

Blackwall aka Standard. 265/35 R19 and 285/35 R19 does not come in Star Spec. If you get standard OEM size of 255/35 R19 and 275/35 R19 there is a Star spec version.
