Help installing oled tailights f80

Hey purchased these from Abdul,

I cant get it to sit flush to the body like the stock light

Once I slip it into the outer slot, the other end sticks out. See the pics below. What am I doing wrong? I've loosened the bolt so much and tried pushing the other end in but it doesn't look like it has anywhere to go.

1. The fitting legs where the screws on top, have to be place correctly.
2. Those foled lights wont give you perfect flush

You'll need to wedge in the side closest to trunk line (the part of tail light with the plastic hook), push down so there's a tight seal AND pull it in towards you, then press in the other side (where the y-bracket is). It's the rubber seal that has to compress.

I had this issue with my black lines. Also, need the y-shaped bracket to be barely threaded on.

Glad to see it worked out for you.
I remember having an issue similar to you when I installed my set but I couldn't specifically remember my remedy other than massaging it to fit (tighten a little, verify alignment, tighten a little, verify alignment, repeat repeat repeat). Eventually, it sat flush for me like it did for you.
