I disagree with everyone. I think you should definitely sell the S2K. It's so old and outdated. Lacks performance, reliability and wow factor.

Let me know when you list it for sale

it’s a long shot OP but are you planning on having a family soon and want to have a practical back seat that will still give that NA feel ringing up to 8k rpm redline?

If you answered Yes -

E46 M3 it is

On top of that, he just came into Harry'sm and ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and a Motec system exhaust.

Keep it.

In 2009 I was seduced by the Z4MC and sold my pristine AP2. Within a year, the Z4MC was gone and I have never missed it. My unpopular opinion was that it felt more like a German musclecar than a balanced sports car.

10 years later I picked up my second AP2, after a year of searching and kicking tires. It's still not as nice as the one I had and I probably overpaid, but beggars can't be choosers. You know the history of your car and if you ever wanted another one, the search might discourage you.

Even though it's laughably slow compared to my F80 (also a 6MT), I love how analog and connected it feels in comparison. However, I'm not sure I'd want to daily drive either of them -- have you considered adding a third car, possibly an automatic?

I appreciate your insight especially as a prior and current s2k owner. I been going back and forth but more recently decided to hold on to than replacing with an E46. But must say is that GPW your current or former car? That one is a unicorn. I mean the NFR is a very nice color but I always loved GPW~

Thanks, the GPW was my first AP2. Glad to hear you're sticking with the S2K!

S2K for the win, one of the best Honda's ever made! supercharge it, have it detailed, and put some new trim in it to make it feels new (new steering wheel or seats) and you'll fall right back in love with it! E46 M3 is a great car but lacks TQ unless its fully built which is $$$ or Boosted, which is $$$ and never going to be as reliable. Beautiful cars OP. Enjoy them in good health and take advantage of those twisties we so desperately miss in South Florida.

The low end torque of the F80 has spoiled me. The thought of owning a E46 M3 6mt has crossed my mind couple of times. Don’t get me wrong, I love the raw visceral feel of the S2000 esp in sharp turns but in straights it def is lacking. Would the E46 give me that extra pull I’m looking for but still keep that NA high reving engine visceral feel or will I regret it few months down the road after it loses that new car charm?
For me the S2000 has these advantages over any M3:
-top down driving
-one of the best shifting experiences
-light weight makes it amazing in the corners
-you can redline it all the time and comply with the law

It does have one of the best shifters and the car was meant to redline all day! Yea I think I’ll keep it.

I actually had a Suzuka Blue Ap1 prior to my LPB AP2. I remember having those thoughts of wanting to get back into a S2k. I think I will keep it!

Had a 2001 Spa Yellow S2K with the matching hardtop and front lip, wider tires. Amazing car. But nothing like the F80

I would keep the S2000! Everyone that sells theirs always regrets it!

Up until a couple weeks ago I had 2 S2000s. One setup for the track and my original 2001 S2000 that I've owned since 2006. I will never get rid of it and it perfectly complements the F80 I recently picked up. My S2000 is supercharged and makes about 400whp and while it's probably slower than my F80 ZCP it is so much more engaging to drive, and erases the issue I had with my S2000 when it was stock - lack of power. If you have mechanical skills, putting in a supercharger really complements the car and doesn't change the power delivery; it just multiplies it. You get one of the best gear shifters in the business with a really nimble chassis that can be really satisfying to drive. It will still be really reliable if you keep it under 400whp too.

Here's some pics of the two S2000's i had. One was a hardtop with rollbar, and the other is more stock

I just sold this, it was slow, but it drove so solid, it was built well. Mine was a 2005 it only had 27K miles when I sold it a few weeks ago. I don’t have time for 4 cars, if I had a bigger garage I might have kept it, but I decided I got my S2K fix the 3 years I owned it.

I will say it is a beautiful car that has a timeless design.
