F82 M4 Buying Advice
Looking at selling my 440i GC and buying a M4 competition.
After a search on AT, this private sale stood out as one that could be worth looking at. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-det...02011236407358 Obviously it's covered more than average miles and over 4 years old but with one owner it looks in good condition. Any advice on value and potential issues would be appreciated or if anyone has one they are looking to sell. Thanks

Not sure about the value of it but as a M4 owner get it bought you won't regret it...
Obviously as the miles go on things like turbos etc might become an issue but generally I think the M4 seems to fairly un problematic. If you find a decent independent garage you can keep the service costs down as well - avoid the dealer M tax...

I'll be keeping the mileage fairly low as I use a company van for daily duties. Any recommendations on a trusted indy in the North West area? I currently use Bowker BMW Blackburn which don't seem too bad on price. I'm guessing at the age and mileage it would have had the running in, 1st minor, 2nd major service and a brake fluid change at 3 years old?

Not sure about the schedule - sure if you Google it or search this forum you will find it out. It's the major ones that obviously cost more but I think my last oil service at RSV was about £190 I think.

That's a lot of car for the money and it's done most of its depreciating now. If it's been serviced on schedule and not remapped then should be fairly trouble free. Still worth looking at a warranty for it though.

As others have said, that's a lot of car for the money. Certainly priced to sell.
At that mileage, the major spark plugs service should have been done. If not, it'll be due imminently... so check, as it's about £1k at main dealer normal prices. Which is obviously a useful negotiation tool... But I'd expect it's been done tbh.
