That’s quite alright, the M4cs is not intended for everyone.

I’m still on cup2’s at the moment, car isn’t a fault or even needed, so if the weather is terrible I just use my wife’s 116d instead.

Have found the cup’s suprisingly ok in the rain, it’s the cold they don’t like AT ALL

Not sure exactly as I'm not in the market for one but by comparison this ones a bit more pricey...

Those aren’t options per se. The dealer tacked-on a whole shitload of M-Performance parts to the car.

The colour choice also adds to the price in most markets. Only AW is no charge. BSM and SMB are $550 while LRG and FDB are $5000 in the US.

Good point on color as an option, wasn't thinking at that level.

BTW - random added question - do the M3CS and/or M4CS come with the CFRP driveshaft or the post late 2017 steel shaft? No one I talk to seems to have a definitive answer.

The CS will be my daily, so I will need a solution for the winter... Cup 2‘s would be like

The 18’s looks kind of small (IMO) for the M4, but might be an alternative if I find one at the right price.

My car has (based in Switzerland):
ConnectedDrive
Rear camera
Tinted windows
Seat heating
Speed limit info

From what I can remember, other optionals would be:
Alcantara steering wheel (will change mine in the future)
Apple car play
TV function
Online entertainment
Carbon brakes

As far as I can tell looking at the BMW ETK, the M3cs has the new steel driveshaft while the M4cs has retained the CFRP driveshaft.

The reason I make the precision is because this press release for the switch to the steel driveshaft is dated prior to the launch of the M3cs, so it was left unclear if the M3cs was also exempt and retains the CF driveshaft or if it would get the new steel one. We finally got the confirmation when the M3cs was released in the ETK which shows that it indeed has the new steel driveshaft; another plus for the M4cs

I'll post a picture of mine on the 18" 640M. I find it looks decent enough for a winter setup

Thanks !!! Finally some definitive answers - not what I was looking to learn though.

Why did they not include it on M3CS????
Oh yeah because they needed to save on production costs in order to include the minivan window shades and maintain their slim profit margins.

It seems to me like they built the M3cs, that has more emphasis on luxury than the M4cs, primarily for the North American market, with more than half of the total 1263 units produced going to North America. Further, according to the ETK, the M3cs does not seem to have a distinct model designation as the M4cs has. BMW might have done that to limit certification costs and could be the reason why the M3cs has the same driveshaft as the other “regular” M3.

Yes agreed I think BMWUSA in NJ HQ FUBARed the option list and spec sheet on the M3CS by bundling the exec pack options together. Window shades on Club Sport track car???
As for the CFRP driveshaft it cant be a USA certification issue because my 17ZCP has a CFRP shaft. It was supposedly about the particulate filter they had to fit in Europe starting in 2018 which should not effect US cars.
