Like always the guys from Vf Engineering were beyond supportive this weekend and I feel like we turned in some good times.
The launch technique I've used at the drag strip works really well on a prepared surface with lots of rubber, but I think we just underestimated the surface conditions at Coalinga. There's definitely no lack of power as the car pulled hard and smooth when it did hook up, with torque to spare at the top of each shift. If I can get a clean launch and grip through my 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift, I think we'll be in the high 150's with the exact same power level. The next event will for sure be in warmer weather so I just ordered the VF/CSF Heat Exchanger as well. Can't wait to get back out there and take the car even faster! |
