i sold mine at 35k. had bm3 stage 1 on it for 10k miles with mp4s rubber.

there was a slight judder when starting in first after the car was warmed up and driving 30+ minutes. almost like the car wanted to bog a little (even though i kept the rpms up). no issues when moving or going at speed though. didn't happen when cold either

not sure what it could have been. saw another post of a guy having the same issue and dealer changed out his clutch and flywheel under warranty.

2015 with 44K miles. Seems as new to me as ever - with the only caveat being every so often first gear is tough to fully engage. When it does it, it feels like it's nearly in gear but if I feather the clutch a little while still pushing it towards first, it pops into the gear.
Other than that, it's PERFECTION.

Only issue i have had is first. If I'm not paying attention and don't shove it in hard I have had it pop out 2 or three times. I think it was self induced but made me jump with the awful noise.

I've got 90K km on mine now and no issues. I put 240K km on an E90 328i and all I had to do was change the oil a few times. I think the F80 and E90 6MT are similar designs.

Most of the time I get paranoid and while going into first, I'll put it into first, think I didn't do it good enough, I'll take it out, take out the clutch, put back in the clutch to realign everything, and put it back into first. I am not the Original Owner so not sure whats up. I be other M owners do not have my problem but its one of the small issues I have to address in the near future.

I second these. I really have to pay attention when starting up from first. Otherwise, it'll slip out of gear and make a horrendous noise. Just a tad bit paranoid of that happening when starting from a hill but knock on wood hasn't happened yet.

I've had the vehicle since 15k miles and am sitting now at ~57k miles.

Just hit 41k on my 6 speed. Best improvement i got with sticky synchros - only at cold temps when first started - was to change the original OEM fluid. Shift feel improved with the turner motorsports too.

What Motul fluid are you using? Looking to switch to Motul as well, those are great readings!

2018 M3, 39K miles. Every once in a while it'll fight me for 4th gear if I'm shifting too slow, but I can bang out a 1-2-3 no issues. Put about 2000 miles on it since I bought it, no issues. Had an M2C 6MT before, put 10,000 on it with no issues.

Does which one you use depend on where you live? (Meaning someone in Canada would use a different variety than someone from Florida?)

Similar deal, if you've been through transmissions under warranty for failed Synchros or crunchy shifts would definitely appreciate any data points.

Thanks a ton for any information.
Almost 49k mi. on my '15 M4 and tranny is fine. I'm not particularly hard on it.

I get this too. I really have to be grandma shifting but still, when I actually want to shift I have no problems at all.

Funny to hear about 1st popping out for some. I thought it was just me and had started to pay more attention to it.

2018 M3, 19k miles. Slave cylinder failed. Early signs were clutch chatter when engaging and clutch pedal began to feel "soft". The final sign was when I killed the car at a light because the pedal was stuck on floor and didn't return to top. No fluid leaking internally at pedal. Took to dealer and they replaced slave cylinder. They noted evidence of fluid leaking when under panel was removed and inspected. When slave cylinder was removed confirmed it had failed prematurely. This was past warranty period. Due to age and mileage dealer "reduced' some of their original quote, but could not extend a 100% "good faith" warranty.

I think they have it under Porsche DCTF but the part cross reference on FCP web lists Motul 105786. Motul shows 105786 as correct for BMW DCT (Getrag GS7 trans).

I think it's right, not positive

Interesting. Was the clutch chatter for every gear?
