Got a set of G8X Cup 2 Connects incoming. I'll update the thread once I get them mounted, especially that 275 front on a 19x9 763M wheel.

Anyone know where to find 295/30/20 Cup Connects in stock? Trying to track down a 265/30/20 and 295/30/20 setup. Would just run the 285s, but need as much rear traction as I can get.

Anyone know if it would be ok to run the regular Cup 2 connect 265/30/20 front with the G8X spec Cup 2 285/30/20 rears?

I have the 666M wheels.

Thanks!

What is the general consensus on the new sports cup 2 (240) on the street?

There seems to be varying opinion on it, ranging from it's more of an extreme street tire to its more of a track tire.

Any thoughts on it for street use?

Shop didn’t get them fully mounted, I’ll have to pick them up on Monday. I have a track day on Friday so that will be a good shakedown.

Update: one of my rear wheels has a very minor bend - needs to get pulled out first, won’t have these back until Thursday… but it’s also supposed to rain and remain chilly this week, so I might be hitting The Ridge in Pilot All Season 4s

Why is it that on my 245 35 20 Cup2s on the one set my markings are small.. and on my other set the markings are a lot larger/bigger..

These are the ones with the smaller michelin and cup2 markings... my other tires in same size have much larger michelin/cup2 markings... anyone know why
??

Post a pic of the other one - you could have a mismatched set. It could be different TW or manufacturer spec.

Michelin makes 1 240tw variant and 4 180tw variants in 245/35R20 - that is what I am alluding to in my post above. So there are 5 possible 245/35R20 Cup2s you can have, each of which is different.

More pics next to the 285/30R20 rear. Not really any bulge, pretty squared up just like the rear.

Thru on the Cup2s today. Notes:
- steering is heavier and more precise, one additional layer of feedback now
- tramlining; CS already want to hug the road and turn in as it is, but with Cup2s you’ll definitely be grabbing the steering wheel by the scruff of the neck
- ride quality is surprisingly good. Obviously not PAS4 good, but very livable as long as you avoid potholes
- there is some rubbing in front at full lock, but nothing a heat gun / hairdryer couldn’t sort out
- inner clearance is tight… I’m running 12mm spacers in front

Some pics (will take a full car shot later):

Looks amazing Rugby, the front is snug lol. What's your camber settings up front?
I'm on 265/35 PSC2's (180TW) and -2.8* camber, 12mm spacer but this front set up looks enticing. Let me know your thoughts once you break them in and long term usage. Also whats your front PSC2 treadwidth?

Stock camber right now - putting on my plates soon tho, so probably will run around -2+

The front 275 tread width is not far off a 265 Cup2 (8.9in according to tirerack), there’s really no bulge on the front

Do you think the 275 in the front will rub without spacers?

I don't really like to run spacers hehe
