Winter tire setup?

With the cold weather approaching soon, I was wondering what winter tire setups you guys run on your M3/M4. I have a set of 18" wheels with 225/45 Michelin X-Ice all around and I used that on my 340. Recently got a m4CS and was wondering if this tire size is too narrow on this car. Only winter driving it dry cold conditions, not snow or salty roads or any of that.

I think folks typically run 255/40/18 on the f8x chassis. W/your setup you have a more narrow footprint and sidewall. I’d try mounting them and checking for any clearance issues. Apart from looking a little off, you should be good to go.

I ran 245/45/18 which worked great for the last couple of years. I have a set of winter wheels for sale but I’m in ny.

225 is too narrow imo

I live in the NC mountains which gets some snow but not often. Temps are around freezing to mid 40's most winter. During these months, I've been using DWS06's on the OEM 19's and they seem to work great.

I run stock setup with winter rubber Michelin Alpin. Preference of mine to run as close to my warmer setup as possible but switching out to the right compound. I live in Utah and don't really drive during heavy snowfall. I would say I drive 75% dry, 23% wet/rain, and 2% wintry mix. I have survived 4 winters. I had the pirelli and blizzaks on my previous cars and they were a little to soft when most of my driving is cold sub 45 degrees but dry. I'm sure they were better when there are a few inches but in the end the majority of my driving was what I leaned towards.

I ran OEM sizes for winters (255/275 19s). I was able to get through snow just fine with that.
