Mineral White Rear End

I was rear ended... we were stopped; guy let off brake for some reason

tow hook cover slight off

mainly a nice imprint on a licence plate screw and paint peeling off to see aluminum?

had to file the police report (KILL ME) because this guy looked like he couldn't afford the cost of a repspray.

Ill post pics later.

Likely the bumper will need to be sprayed. idk

i might have fucked up filing a police report; but I plan on keeping the car for at least another 4 years and likely than it wont affect resale too poorly

Bummer. Do some serious due diligence on the body shop you use. Mineral white is really hard to match... I know from personal experience. I ended up with a bumper that was a different color than the car. My dealership had damaged my car when it was there for service, so they ended up buying the car from me.

Sad news
I empathize as mine is currently in the shop for the next 2 months getting its rear end fixed.
IMO police report/insurance is still the safest way to go. I had a similar cosmetic injury to my last M3 4 years ago. Even with bondo and a respray it was still several $k. Getting stuck with that on your own would only add to the pain and tragedy.
Good luck and keep us posted with pics

Damn that sucks but just just keep the pictures and a copy of the police report to show the future buyer that it was only a little fender bender and it shouldn't affect the resale value much if any.

less than 1000 to repair and repaint that.

your tow hook and bumper color doesnt match anyway now. Bumpers are always a different color.

Mineral white will take a good body shop to get it really close. There will never be a perfect match from the bumper repaint to the next panel...plan on close enough, not perfect. BMW certified or not, never perfect.
