What kind of modification is needed to the rear seat bolsters?
Also, would be great to see some install photos along with the instructions.

Lots of M3/M4 owners are now doing the install themselves, and to help make it easier we will be taking more in-depth photos to update our instructions pdf's to make them user-friendly. For now, here is a quick pic of how the main hoop is installed and the small "+" sign shape that gets cut in the carpet through which the tube/mounting plate go through for a clean install M4 rollcage front mount-carpet by Studio RSR, on Flickr

I'm not sure what it costs to get an Studio RSR cage but Sadistic Ironwork's (Hesperia California) did mine with rear seat delete, powder coat and rear suspension adjustments for $2500 including installation.

check out page 62 (page number 50 in the document)
I'm not an expert, but when I saw your pic, I worried it was similar to the "situation 3" on that page EDIT: if you look at the cage in the OP, it seems more like "situation 2" |

Back to our cages, we originally had a 3x sided (3x plane) plinth box on the M4 which was later deemed overkill by our friends at the track who do the Tech Inspections. We asked if we could reduce the number of planes when we received feedback from customers saying it would be better with less planes so that the trunk liner would plug all the way back in with the push pins. Even then, the trunk liner was staying in place with no modification, they simply wanted to be able put the plastic push pin back in instead of the 3rd vertical plane blocking the hole for the plastic push pin. We currently have a 2x plane plinth for the rear section mounting. Here is a pic of one of the first M4 cages (short-sunroof spec) with the 3x plane plinth. Kind of hard to see the 3rd plane because it's a black chrome cage, but it's there on the far right. Is the full F80 cage plug and play? Do you think I could still kept everything of my interior in tact and maybe fit some passengers in the back with the cage if needed? How much for the cage and if I want it power-coated? Kindly pm me if needed. Thank you!

You do not want to put any passengers in the rear with a roll cage. Even if you can get someone to fit, even with a slight bump in the road someone can really injure themselves.

It would also be a jenga puzzle to get them in.
You can with some work have them make it fairly easy to remove in the F80 btw, which is what I did. Only fairly serious complaint is their mounts are way, way too small. Think 2x3" maybe. They did the install on mine and one side only had two bolts, no backing plates whatsoever. I'm having large plates welded in so that in the case of a rollover the hoop doesn't just get pushed through the floor, which would be super bad as the harness is not attached to the rollbar. They way it comes it's more for show than actual protection.
