I only had a 3/8" torque wrench and no combination of sockets/adapters that could fit with it, so I just torqued it by feel. Torque spec is 25 ft lb for VTT and MMR. 29 ft lb for some other brand I found. |

I did this last month for my friend. It took me 2.5hrs. Extremely easy tbh. I did the headless bolt method, but didnt have any on hand. You can buy this at Oreillys and put them in (I used 3), and buy the time you install the other bolts, the 3 will come off with ease. Very very easy install.

I wonder if someone could make a hub capture plate with 2 bigger holes, or alternatively you drill out two holes, to allow you to leave 2 stock bolts in place so no concern about the pulley moving, then the capture plate would be held in by the 6 other longer bolts… 🤔

So a couple of months into ownership and already have the part. Question is - with ~40k on the motor - what else should I be doing while I'm in there?
Likely doing coolant - so will pull the hoses/radiator (may do hoses as well). Assuming belts as I'll have that access - what else? Belt guard? |
