Well the natural fish mouth certainly doesn't help but yeah the distortion is also why it looks like it has such extreme camber - the photo is wrapping around the center point and skewing everything as it moves towards the edges

Not interested in tuning a warrantied car. The Panny ST GTS still is 40k more expensive than the RS6 and less practical.

To add to RugbyBro 's point, look at the buildings, see how the walls are skewed off vertical? Quite significant distortion, I agree.... these pics are not how the car looks in real life, more like instagram click bait (esp in pics 1,2)

You guys see this? New images of the i4. Honestly if they are gonna go big grills, the M3/4 setup is better (although still bad), not sure why they are putting the grill into the lower intake, its a bit reminiscent of an overbite.

Someone should start selling beaver plush animals with the BMW logo.....

I just don't get this; really looks like they're fully committing to this look. I don't hold a lot of hope for LCI G8x. It'll be the next gen before any design updates are considered it looks like.

i thought the beaver look was supposed to be unique to the g8x so that it can please the badge whores who want everyone to know their bmw is different from the base model. cant imagine how upset theyll be in 2025 when every bmw looks like theirs

Throttle House extra video on the Toyota 86 sort of discusses what we talked about a few pages back, lower horsepower cars to run the gears out in without going insanely fast.

They're right, focus shifted so much from driving to numbers even in stock form.

honestly don't care anymore. feel more and more disconnected with the brand and future models. this design is horrid including all the derivatives be it ice or these bs elec models.

I love how she says the kidneys provide more air function because they are at the top and bottom, as if there wouldn't be an air intake there even if it had smaller grills If anything this design allows in no more air than prior generations since the middle piece is blocked off anyways.

Like she says it moves people emotionally, just not a positive emotion for me.

Agree, its a great little car. In the threads regarding the new generation, so many people were complaining about the lack of a turbo or luxuries, but so many people forget, the point is this is one of the only (other than Miata, which many can't fit, and is harder to daily) performance/enthusiast cars on a budget, with a new warranty and no miles. Everything else is disappearing. Think back 20 years and two/three-door coupes and hatches could be found from so many brands, FWD, RWD, even some AWD that is affordable. Today, they're pretty much all gone



This is a great video from Cammisa, and really explains how they fixed the torque issue without adding a turbo or increasing the price.

Yeah I was hearing them talk about that and I genuinely got interested in one because it seems like a really good deal for track days and low cost entry as compared to tracking the M4, not that they compare but I've come to enjoy the fact that less is sometimes more and I like it more on twisty turns than straight line shooting.

Perhaps I have to look into it, although size might be an issue I've heard as I am fairly tall.

From what I've seen surprisingly tall people (well, depends on the definition of tall) fit in the car well, certainly better than a Miata.

I haven't driven one in years but I always thought they were a great way of getting people into the enthusiast world given their lower pricing, even if most of the owners are d-bags or ruin the cars with endless stance mods.

She says all M cars are POLARIZING and not for everyone to like?!?!
What are these designers smoking- M cars have always been loved by majority of ppl and the design is only polarizing now since you put a gargantuan grill that ruins the whole car.

The only good design feature are the larger exhaust tips compared with F8x.

Yeah I see quite the few Miatas but not much else in that category around.

They offer a very good option that I don't think a lot of people know about because the marketing seems non existent for them which is really unfortunate because we need more like them.
