Faulty BM3 Flex fuel kit?

Had the bootmod3 flex fuel kit installed last week. Was getting random hiccup here and there during idle and driving. Sometime the call will stall out while idling. Thought the issue was the spark plugs, after having it replaced, still have the same issue. Did a datalog and notice the ethanol content will read 0% and start to choke. Recheck all wiring and everything is plug in correctly. Here is the datalog.

i have been having these same exact issues, everything sounds about the same for me minus the 0% ethanol reading.

Please update us on this. I thought it was just spark plugs acting up.

Also which multi map tune are you using?

If anyone else is having the same problem with a BM3 flex kit please post it here. The CANBUS must have a wrong E% or not reading at all (0%).

As a note. Be sure you are running the latest multi-map (I see it was last updated 12/22)

Running 1-step colder plugs (ngk 97506)

And of course be sure to check all connections.

Map is running multimap stage 2 91 ACN. Using spark plug NGK F8S gap to .020

The sensor is reading 70% ethanol, as i did pump all e85 after i had a range of 40 miles left. But the once the sensor read 0% randomly the car will hiccup and choke and once it read 70% again the car will run normally. This is driving me crazy lol

No issues like this on the Bend Calibration Ultimate Kit…either way sounds like the folks at BM3 have some QC issues to sort.

This was an issue with MHDs adapter at first as well - they had to send out replacement units.

Edit: IIRC the issue started popping up with higher E blends.

Mine is solid and I extensively log but I know one guy mentioned this and they fixed it in the OTS. The guy that had the issue reflashed and issue was gone.

Yes sir, its been fixed it is very rare to have it happen but if you do a simple reflash will get it resolved. No updates required to the kit hardware at all.

Mine has been flawless and I run anywhere between a 60-85% blend with Ignite Red. Car rips!

I was having the same issue with my car where the ethanol % would read 0 randomly and only for short periods of time. After flashing the update the issue went away completely. As I understand it it only affects a small percentage of cars.

Anyone here have idling issues with cold start and GTS start up roar enabled?

My car doesn't seem to like higher E blends on cold start as the engine stumbles. As far as I can tell, my ethanol content is reading ok but AFRs go crazy when the engine drops below 1000 rpm on cold start.

i noticed the same thing, i decided to flash the new 12/22 update and remove coldstart but keep gts roar and it seems to be better.

i have reflashed the multi map stage 2 tune and i am still experiencing slight E% faulty readings. At idle the car would randomly read 0% every now and then and you can hear the car bog a little. Anyone else still have this issue after re flashing?

Did you flash their 12/22 update multi stage map? that what solved my issue. I still get slightly random stumble on cold start though, and if i tried to drive the car right away on cold start it will stall.
