Flex fuel + meth injection - school me

Like the title says... I'm wondering what exactly would be involved in getting meth injection to work with bm3 flex fuel. I did a bit of digging and found that an additional controller such as motiv would be needed. Can someone explain exactly how the setup would work? Which meth kit would be ideal for this type of set up?

that depends on your flex-fuel and the tune you are using.

Check with your tuner and which flex fuel they recommend as you'd need a custom map to run this setup

For sure I realize I'd need a custom map. What I'm curious about more specifically is how it would need to be set up. Hardware required, which meth set up etc... and how reliably can this potentially function given the increased complexity over a basic single octane tune....

Or

Would it make more sense to say get a custom e85/meth map and only run the flex map when not on full e85?

Would like to try to hit 600 hp on stock turbos.

Thanks!

Jeff,
You can hit 600 on stock turbos with a custom E85 tune. I like F80Paul for my tunes. Bung Meth or WMI is best used for cooling instead of added fueling, especially since NY can get hot in summer. You can get by with a Snow 2.5 kit and one #3 nozzle in the J (or two #1.5 in the CPs).

If you had big turbos and needed additional fueling then you would look towards a Reflex+ and E85 PI. Augmenting fueling with bung or port nozzles is the old less-safe way.

What's better one in the J or two CP?

For cooling the J is after the TMIC, which is better. Let the TMIC cool the air and the nozzle cools it more. I'd use one #3 nozzle. Spraying WMI in the CPs gets the TMIC fins all wet.

If you were adding 100% Meth spray for power you could use the old riskier way of CP bungs, or port nozzles/PI which is safer.
