stupid accident

I had a stupid accident today while pulling out of my driveway. I didn’t see how close I was to car that was parked behind me, and then proceeded to back out slowly, causing the cars to touch and scrape.

This is the aftermath, and I was wondering how much will this cost to fix, and what are the different methods to do so.

IMO you can get by with a proper touch up on the panel to the right but the other panel will need to visit the body shop. I can't tell from your picture what color the car is. If Alpine White, it is two stage (pigment and clear) If it's Mineral White your day is going to get longer as it is three stage and harder to match.

The paint of the car is actually moonstone metallic. Idk if that means it’s just as difficult or a little easier.

I'm pretty sure that is a base coat/ clear coat. Any experienced body shop should be able to get that right but metallic paint matching is not a DYI program IMO.

Find out where the local BMW dealer gets THEIR work done and start there. If they have a body shop, it is likely to be good.
