Sorry I don't have that, plus I won't do a full throttle in park. That's bad for the engine, even after break-in. On the trip I never needed to kick down either

I couldn't agree more on the allocation crap. I too dumped the local dealer because they were charging too much and didn't have an allocation. Luckily for me, I had researched the crap out in this section of the forum and knew all about allocations, etc. So I only targeted dealers that I never did t deal without an allocation. I sent an email to around 9 dealers and 3 agreed to $1k over invoice. I settled for the closest one and we agreed to $1000 over whatever invoice would be for 2016. 3 months later when the 2016 pricing released, he called me to inform me that he had an allocation and I gave the go ahead to proceed. Rest was smooth from there.

I still don't understand the allocation process, why it is there in the first place Unfortunately it is also something that allows the stealerships to charge more.

Nice. Glad the whole family could go. Because my local dealership lied, it pushed our trip out by a month, which brought my wife to a point where she was not comfortable going. So me going solo is also the fault of the local dealership. I just did a pre-lease check-in with that dealer (service department is much better than sales). I told her the story and she asked for names. She said the GM was also recently fired.

Darn. Don't worry, your 'Civic' will be amazing even without the comp. the extra HP is not really noticeable. Unless you track it all the time, I doubt the extra performance really matters. So it's more of some of the looks

Just to add. The exhaust on the outside is more than just a start. I don't mind revving it a bit when I get redelivery, but I won't rev a car very high on stand still. It's just not healthy

4got 2 ask is it advisable to run to top end whilst car still brand new ?

som say that cars are run in @ factory , others say go for it cos car will be Faster !
Whilst others say push it if u know u gona sell it before warrantee expires then nex owner can sit with issues IF ANY >< ..

That's a great question. While I am no expert, I can't see doing it a little will cause the car to break. Face it, we really can't go max speed in the USA. Clearly, many of the mechanical/BMW engineering experts here will disagree. Before I believe them, I want empirical evidence showing that M3s that have been driven to top speed, pre-break-in, a couple of times are more prone to breaking than those who didn't run it up.

BMW does run the car up during their testing process to make sure the car does not fall apart.

Also, as a side, with the limiter the car never reaches 100% max mechanical speed

Great story and great write-up Avi. Hope you could post more reviews or M3 related stuff here. I'm a big fan of Sakhir Orange color, but heard they changed it to Sakhir Orange II on 2017 M3. Not sure how different they are. I probably will choose Orange color for both exterior and interior.
