FENDER/HOOD gap repair
Looking to get this fender/hood gap fixed possible so couple questions:
Would it be possible to fix it without replacing the bumper? Estimated cost I should be expecting to be quoted? Any shops you recommend in Queens, Long Island NY. |

You can probably fiddle around with it a little bit yourself if you're handy. The front bumper has bolts below the weather stripping, you can loosen them slightly and try to push the bumper back. They are somewhere between T20-T30, two different sizes are needed.
The fender also has easily accessed bolts from the engine bay. They are 10mm if I remember correctly.

The reason it is like that is because the headlight alignment is really messed up on the Y and Z axes and looks slightly off on the x axis.
A good shop that knows what they are doing can fix that without taking off the bumper. If you can jack up the front end and take off the wheel you could also do it yourself. Its not that hard once you know where the adjustment/mounting points are. |

I chuckled at the thought of replacing the entire bumper for this lol.
You will need to adust your headlights by removing the wheel liner and I believe there is 3 torx bolts holding it up. You need to "raise" the area where it's affected. It may take a few tries. You can also add washers to any of the screw points to try and even it out. |
